Report on WTEF 2006

The World Toilet Expo & Forum 2006 Bangkok, Thailand held from 16 - 18 November 2006 at IMPACT Exhibition & Convention Centre concluded successfully with over 850 delegates including a 600-strong delegation consisting of various government bodies, health authorities, institutions & municipalities from the Ministry of Public Health, Thailand.

Hosted by the Ministry of Thailand and supported by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Faculty of Public Health, Population and Community Development Association and Thailand Environment Institute. Themed ‘Happy Toilet, Health Life’, the event aims to facilitate Thailand towards the progressive development and standardisation of public toilet services, in line with their ' HAS' campaign.

Featuring 30 local and international speakers, moderators and chairpersons, the World Toilet Forum comprised of 2 full day conference and a half day technical visit to the best public toilets of Bangkok. The World Toilet Expo which was held concurrently, provided a platform for delegates to explore a myriad of exhibits from over 50 leading industry players, providing them with the opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge about the innovative & resource-saving technologies, products & services for sanitation, safety, hygiene & health.

The World Toilet Expo & Forum 2006 was held in conjunction with the China International Construction and Decoration (CICD) 2006, which was an inaugural fair organised by Guangzhou Topmost Exhibitions Co. Ltd and TCB Exhibition Co., Ltd (Bangkok Office). The 25 exhibitors formed a pavilion from China, showcasing products related to construction and decoration, which included ceramic sanitaryware and metal products.
