As part of its public education effort, a thematic exhibition is being organised by the Thai Ministry of Public Health. It highlights the development of public toilets in Thailand on three key areas:

  • History and cultural background of toilets in Thai society
  • Present state of public toilets and current developments in the country
  • Future aspects of public toilets in relation to improving quality of life and economic development


Structured along the principles of Health, Accessibility and Safety, an Eco-sanitation track will be added in the Forum, to explore the financial, environmental, socio-cultural, political and legal aspects of Eco-sanitation. Forum topics include:
