World Toilet Organization supports
Thai Ministry of Public Health’s Public Toilet Master Plan
The World Toilet Organization, impressed with the Thai Ministry of Public Health’s sponsored Master Plan for the Public Toilet Development in Thailand, has announced its support for Thailand to host the World Toilet Expo and Forum in 2006. The announcement was made at a press conference in Bangkok on 21 November 2005.

The press conference was graced by Deputy Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul. He stressed that hosting the World Toilet Expo and Forum 2006 in Thailand would lend considerable impetus to the progress of public toilet standards in Thailand. (Click here for press release) Experts from 35 countries are expected at the forum to brainstorm guidelines for world-wide public health standards. The event will also feature an exhibition of latest innovation in hygiene-related products.

The press conference was well attended by the Thai media. It received prominent coverage, including the front page of THE NATION, a national daily.
